About Peggy Sue BBQ
We opened for business in 1989, and we like to think that we carry on a fondly remembered tradition of barbecue in this location. For over forty years we were Howard and Peggy's and then Peggy's Beef Bar. The original menu remains over the window in the dining room to the right as you enter the restaurant. While we have certainly updated the menu, we've kept the look of the place stuck firmly in the 1950s!
We are proud of the meats we smoke and the vegetables we prepare daily for you. Sliced brisket is offered in both lean or luscious "fatty" styles. Baby back and pork spare ribs are hand trimmed, stripped of sinew and dry rubbed before smoking. Our poultry is the best. We use only large, fresh, three pound hens and natural breast of turkey.
Few places offer you such a refreshing and extensive choice of tasty, lightly steamed vegetables. Those are complemented by a great salad bar. Many a vegetarian has dined with pleasure at Peggy Sue BBQ.
